Greater Dayton Walk to Emmaus

"Now on that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus... When He was at the table with them, He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him..."
(Luke 24:13-35)

The story related in this scripture is the basis for a 72-hour weekend experience called The Walk to Emmaus.

All pilgrims of the Greater Dayton Emmaus Community plan to celebrate God's work in our community with us this year.

At each Gathering (starts at 7:15pm) from June through October we will be recognizing a special group of pilgrims as follows:

Pilgrims & Teams attending walks from 1990 through 1994 at the June Gathering

Pilgrims & Teams attending walks from 1995 through 1999 at the July  Gathering

Pilgrims & Teams attending walks from 2000 through 2004 at the August Gathering

Pilgrims & Teams attending walks from 2005 through 2009 at the September Gathering

Pilgrims & Teams attending walks from 2010 through 2014 at the October Gathering

On Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at Normandy UMC we will have a very special reunion of everyone who has been involved with

our community over the last 25 years as we celebrate God's faithfulness and give Him praise for the AWESOME God He is.

There will be a time of fellowship with other brothers and sisters from the last 25 years along with special entertainment,

displays of walk memorabilia and, of course, food.  At 3:30 PM we will move into a  time of

worship, song , prayer and communion.

Mark your calendars for the gatherings and the special celebration in November.  Come to one or all of these events.

It will recharge your batteries and offer a chance to reconnect with those people who meant so much

as God blessed our service through Emmaus.
